Bio: My name is Rachel: I'm Aunt Ray to my nephew and Rach to my family and some of my friends. I went to cooking school for two years; these days, I'm a babysitter/nanny by day and a renegade foodie by night... and while my nephew naps. I also love to travel, perform, and eat. Hey, let's not lie; that's part of the reason I learned to cook! I also like writing, which is why I have this blog! Enjoy reading! If it makes you hungry, I'm doing my job right. Live life, eat well, make no apologies. Ciao!

  1. I’ve been reading your blog and I love that you cook, bake. I’m new at blogging and also want to do it as a job. And, I love to eat. So I can follow along to see what you are cooking up. And, I’d like some blogging tips. OK? Thanks.

    • Hi there, and thank you! I’m looking to blog as a job myself! One thing that I am working on is blogging as much as I can so that I have a body of experience. The only other thing that I can tell you is to always proofread. Every once in a while, I’ll go back and proofread entries, just because I want to be sure that they make sense. Also, always stay true to something you know or something you’re passionate about, have fun with it, and speak in your own voice! Your style may not be for everyone, but your style will resonate with somebody! If there’s anything that you learn about how to blog as a job, let me know! Good luck, and I’ll check in on you every once in a while.

      thanks for your comment!

  2. I stumbled upon your blog by accident or was it divine intervention? In any case I am glad that did, your post about “losing your job, but getting your life back” really struck a chord with me. The realization that doing something for a living, when you don’t love what you’re doing can shake you down to your foundation. But, dusting yourself off after the fall is nothing short of invigorating! I look forward to your future posts, like you I love to write, cook and eat… In that order, mind you. 🙂

    • Thank you so much! That’s how I truly felt at the time. Working a job you don’t like is more than just annoying; it’s a soul sucker. I’m glad to now have time to do what I really love, even though the cash is short.

I read some of your blogs also; I’m going to follow so I can read more.

  3. I guess we met through Suzie81. Thank you for your charming comment on my blog. When I saw your name I was thinking you are in fashion, because of Chanel. Never the less I’m very pleased to have met you.. So carry on dear!
